IRVINE, California – Kleinfelder has expanded its water treatment, conservation, and reuse expertise by hiring Sava Nedic, PE, PMP, BCEE, as a principal professional. In his new role, Nedic – who has 35 years of experience in the design and implementation of water, wastewater, and recycled water treatment facilities – will lead the company’s growing water market in California.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Sava during this exciting period of growth for the company,” says Suad Cisic, Kleinfelder’s water market manager. “His international experience designing advanced water supply systems, water purification facilities, and desalination plants, as well as developing aquifer management plans, will be invaluable to our clients as they overcome water resource challenges.”

Nedic is considered an expert in designing conventional and advanced water, wastewater, and recycled water treatment facilities. He also has specialized experience in the design and engineering of advanced water treatment and water purification processes, including microfiltration, reverse osmosis, ultraviolet light disinfection, advanced oxidation, activated carbon adsorption, ion exchange, and electro-dialysis and electro-dialysis reversal processes. Prior to joining Kleinfelder, he worked at CDM Smith where he was the client service manager for multiple public water and wastewater agencies in Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties.

Nedic is a Professional Engineer (PE) in California, a nationally certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE). He has a MS in environmental engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a BS in civil engineering from the University of Belgrade in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
