Steve Wendland Completes Term as Chair of ASCE/GBA Ethics Award Committee
TULSA, Oklahoma – Steve Wendland, PE, PG, DGE, Kleinfelder’s Service Line Director for Geo-Engineering and Engineering Geology recently completed a three-year term serving on the committee that administers The Professional Practice Ethics and Leadership Award.
For the past year, Steve was the chair of the committee. This committee is a combined effort of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Geoprofessional Business Association (GBA). The committee annually selects a licensed engineer to receive a national award and honorarium recognizing accomplishments that promote superior engineering ethics and leadership. Award winners come from private practice, academic institutions, government, and the military.
ASCE and GBA are both important professional organizations for Kleinfelder. GBA focuses on collaboration and sharing to meet the business challenges faced by geoprofessional firms. ASCE focuses on the technical and professional advancement of civil engineers and protecting the public through infrastructure that is safe, resilient, and sustainable.
