GGG Temora Pty Ltd was established to explore for metaliferous resources within New South Wales (NSW).
Seeking Regulatory Approval
GGG Temora Pty Ltd required approval under Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 to permit exploration drilling operations. Approval required the preparation of a Review of Environmental Factors in accordance with regulator guidelines for approval by both the NSW Crown Lands and the Division of Resources and Energy.
Developing Mitigation Measures
Kleinfelder mobilized a team consisting of an archaeologist, ecologist, and environmental assessment specialist to assess the proposed drill sites and prepare the required documentation. Kleinfelder worked with the client to understand the proposed activity and developed mitigation measures to reduce the activities impact on the environment.
Project Results
The Review of Environmental Factors (REF) was prepared and submitted to the regulatory authorities. Upon rapid approval, our client was able to proceed with exploration activities. Kleinfelder was also able to swiftly modify the REF for an amended approval, enabling the client to adapt to changing conditions and results of initial exploration, keeping the project on schedule and on budget.
